Like it or not, November is here, and cold weather is coming. Before the holiday shopping frenzy begins, I like to take stock of my winter wardrobe in early November, and shop for pieces I need before they sell out (which Black Friday tends to make happen). I also like to think ahead to what trips I have booked for the season, and order some pieces that I know will come in handy when packing for those. But for the most part, winter basics are what I recommend buying in November—pieces that you’ll reach for over and over that will make every outfit they’re a part of significantly chicer.
