Last night, Creative Director Wes Gordon debuted his spring 2026 collection for Carolina Herrera set against the historic Plaza Mayor in Madrid. It was a grand spectacle, featuring a 450-meter runway in the brand’s signature blush pink, 1500 guests, and a 78-piece collection inspired by the host capital’s vibrant golden age. Working in collaboration with five Spanish creatives—Sybilla, Alejandro Gómez Palomo, Andrés Gallardo, Mar del Hoyo, and Casa Seseña—Gordon’s collection featured dramatic ball gowns, perfectly tailored capes, and spectacular embroidered florals. It was a show with a capital S, a beautiful one at that.
The lavish affair included a star-studded guest list with the likes of Lucy Hale, Alexa Chung, Vittoria Ceretti, and singer and actress Becky G, who documented her experience exclusively for Who What Wear. Leaning into the brand’s history of sophistication with a touch of Latin glamour, the performer opted for a pre-party look consisting of a structured black top and sleek miniskirt followed by a floral-print cornflower-blue dress for the main event.
We caught up with Becky G following the show to talk about playing up her glam side for her front-row appearance, her getting-ready must-haves, and the look she’d steal straight from the spring runway.

In what ways do you feel you embody the Carolina Herrera woman?
To me, it’s being who you are and owning it. That’s something I’ve always tried to carry in my own life and career. I’ve never been afraid to embrace where I come from or bring my full self into the room, and I feel like that’s exactly what the brand celebrates. It’s feminine, it’s modern, and it’s got this strength behind it that I strive to achieve.
Talk to us about your look for the show. Who or what you were channeling?
For the show, I wanted to lean into that timeless Herrera elegance! Carolina Herrera has this incredible history of sophistication, and my goal was to honor that legacy!

How does this look compare to your everyday style and your aesthetic as an artist?
Honestly, my everyday style depends. Sometimes, it’s way more chill. I can be a sneakers, baggy jeans, and T-shirt kind of girl, or onstage, I’ll go all out with bold looks and crazy silhouettes. Every now and then, I dress up for fun, and this dress gave me that chance to do that and play with my glam girl side!
In terms of completing your look, what was the vision for hair and makeup?
I knew exactly what I wanted for this look—a Latin telenovela vibe with drama, intensity, and presence. For me, it was about powerful eyes, glowing skin, and an energy that felt strong and empowered. Everything came together to reflect that vision and make sure my look carried the same energy as the Carolina Herrera outfit I was wearing.

Do you have any pre–fashion show rituals?
Yes! Music is always key for me. I’ll blast something that puts me in that hyped-up, confident mood. Right before stepping out, I’ll take a minute to breathe and ground myself. These shows go by in the blink of an eye, and I want to be present enough to really take it all in.
What’s currently on heavy rotation on your getting-ready playlist?
Right now, it’s a mix—a little música Mexicana to keep me connected to my roots, some R&B to set the vibe, or some of the new releases! For me, life is about balance, something that hypes me up but also reminds me of home.

You’re in Madrid for the show. What are some of your must-sees and -dos while in the city?
It’s always food first for me. Finding new places to eat is my sightseeing. Between all my scheduled events, recording new music at 5020 Studio, and trying to sleep, that’s usually all I have time for anyway!
Was there a look from Carolina Herrera’s S/S 26 show you’d like to wear straight off the runway now?
Yes, absolutely! The collection opened with one of my favorite looks, which was a stunning, powerful black dress. I loved how this season played with striking black-and-white contrasts alongside bold color statements and, of course, those gorgeous floral moments that felt so signature to the brand. Wes Gordon has such a gift for turning ready-to-wear into playful pieces I’d want to wear straight off the runway. I told Wes I left the show really inspired! He absolutely killed it!
